Kitchen worktop replacement in Prague

Complications and previous defects on site:

• Failure of the original sink: The customer contacted us after an unpleasant experience. Her original undermount sink had partially detached from the worktop despite additional reinforcement by the previous installer. For this reason, the customer lost confidence in this type of installation and did not want to risk it again.
• Risk area around gas: Directly under the hob there was a gas pipe and a flexible gas hose, which required extreme caution during both dismantling and the following installation.

Our work and technical solutions:

• Safety first: All work in the immediate area of the gas installation was carried out with maximum care and caution. We completed the replacement completely safely, without any damage to the infrastructure.
• Change of sink concept: Based on the client’s bad experience, we switched to a classic top-mounted sink installation. This solution restored the client’s confidence that the sink would hold fully and permanently.
• Worktop moisture protection: To prevent the new laminate worktop from swelling and rotting over time around the tap, we applied a very practical solution. We did not install the kitchen tap into the worktop, but directly into the sink surface itself. For this purpose, we precisely cut an opening in the sink, even though it did not have one from the factory. Any splashing water from the tap now stays safely in the stainless-steel or granite zone.

Result: The job turned out excellently. The new worktop and panels are perfectly installed, and thanks to the carefully planned solution with the tap seated directly in the sink, we maximised the lifespan of the entire work surface. The customer was fully satisfied with our responsible approach and final result.
