Processing and milling an artificial stone worktop (Corian)

Project specifics:

• Kitchen island: Production of a worktop with a precisely milled opening for a hidden pull-out socket.
• Main worktop: Joining two pieces of material into one completely unified part. The work included milling an opening for an undermount sink and an opening for a hob installed flush with the work surface. The result is a perfectly seamless construction.

Major on-site complication:
The kitchen cabinets and island had been installed by another team. During control measurement of the geometry, however, we found that both the main line surface and the island itself had been installed unevenly. The base was completely unsuitable for installing such a demanding material. Based on our findings, the customer had to file a complaint with the original installation company. Only after the base had been fully corrected was it possible to install the stone worktops.
Result:
After the supporting elements were levelled, both worktops were installed successfully and smoothly. The work surface is perfectly unified, the joints are invisible and the built-in appliances align perfectly flush with the stone.
Important recommendation for future customers:
This case clearly shows why we insist that our team carry out complete turnkey installations, from cabinet assembly through to worktop fitting.
For premium materials that are demanding to process, such as acrylic artificial stone (Corian) or quartz composite, perfect cabinet adjustment and levelling is a critical factor. During our work, our team performs extremely precise checks and fine adjustment of the base, ensuring that expensive material fits the first time, aligns perfectly and is not exposed to unwanted stress that could damage it.
